Hi, I am Shirley! I am embarking on this culinary journey to introduce you’ll to my very first social platform, ‘Rhea’s Palate.’ I will be showcasing my love for cooking in this page. As a Bangladeshi girl, I consider myself lucky to grow up in a diverse culture of culinary art, which also inspired me to create this page to deliver not only my traditional dishes but also my own creations and different cuisines to the world through food. My mother had her own style of cooking, unlike any other Bengali mothers. Her passion for cooking and hosting a dawat (feast or party) always amazed everyone. Perhaps I won’t address myself as passionate person as my mother about cooking, but I do have to say that I extremely enjoy the process of making delicious dishes. End of the day, cooking is like meditation for me!

I have created this Rhea’s Palate website, Instagram and Facebook page for you, my friend, to follow some easy and fun recipes with me and share with your love ones. From vegan starters to fishy and meaty mains, I will familiarize you with Bangladeshi and my unique dishes that you can cook and devour from any corner of the world. Hence, I invite you all to join me on this nostalgic journey of delicious flavours. And, of course, don’t forget to see my Instagram and Facebook pages!!!

I have categorized the website into five different categories for Bangladeshi cuisine: Fish recipes, Meat recipes, Vegan recipes, Snacks and Street food recipes, and Sweet recipes. Fish and vegan recipes will be showing classic everyday Bangladeshi recipes that will need for basic ingredients. Whereas, Meat section will divide into different kinds of meat based dishes which might need additional arrangements. The exciting section will be Snacks and Street food which we usually miss a lot far from home. The very last one is Sweet. Bangladesh is known for sweets and ‘Rhea’s Palate’ will stage the recipes for delicious Bangladeshi sweets.
